Nilachal Vedic Village, ISKCON

Location: Talasari, Vapi

Type: Urban Planning & Landscaping

Team: Shreya Krishnan, Niveditha

Status: On-going

Located in the Talasari Village of the Palghar district, Nilachal Vedic Village is an intentional and self-sustaining community centred on principles of Bhakti (devotion) towards the land and people, manifesting in ecologically sensitive and spiritually grounded development. The masterplan emerges from the idea of the site as a living ecosystem of people, rituals, landscapes, and daily rhythms.

Every loop was thought of in the design to ensure elements create a resilient masterplan that harmonises development with spiritual purpose, ecological responsibility, and long-term financial sustainability. The outcome is a self-sustaining, legible, and multifunctional campus where movement patterns, programme distribution, and revenue channels reinforce one another.
